Ever thought about all the things you want to experience in life? I think about it all the time. Recently, a friend's list inspired me to write my own.
This list is only a start and will grow over time. I'll keep you posted on those in progress checked off the list. I included a couple that I'd already completed, but they'd been on my list as a kid so I thought I'd share them too. (Bolded items are exciting projects underway.)
1. Learn to surf
2. Go to culinary school
3. Write at least one book — novel or memoir — plus a travel adventure book
4. Learn to make creme brulee and pot de creme (miette-style)
5. Take photography classes (ideally, first acquire dream Nikon DSLR camera)
6. Go to NYC Fashion Week
7. Ride in a hot air balloon
8. Work with Creative Services team at Williams-Sonoma, Inc.
9. Rent an Italian villa and vacation there with group of close friends & fam
10. Become conversational in Italian — without losing any more Hebrew or Spanish
11. Try snowboarding and water skiing
12. Travel to: Greece, Australia, Prince Edward Island, Hawaii, Alaska, Galapagos
13. Backstage tour of The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and meet Jon and staff
14. Become a mixologist
15. Road trip across U.S. including visits to Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, 4 corners & Mardi Gras in New Orleans
16. Go on safari
17. Stay in ice hotel
18. Find love, get married and grow old together
19. Have at least 2 kids
20. Plan my own destination wedding
21. Celebrate special occasion with ice wine (Completed: birthday April 2010)
22. Go on a cruise (Sad, I know)
23. Take art history class
24. Fly 1st class on long flight
25. Learn krav maga
26. Master the art of meditation (Eat, Pray, Love? Count me in)
27. Attend SXSW Interactive
28. Go to a shooting range
29. Backpack around Europe for a summer by Eurail train (Completed: Summer 2005)
30. Live abroad for a year (Completed: Israel, 2000-2001)
31. Become a dog owner (Completed: Early 2010)
32. Learn a dance to personalized mash-up with Tabitha and Napolean (LOVE their routines on SYTYCD)
33. Work for Patch.com — clearly the future of the journalism industry! (Completed: Spring 2011)
34. Meet Pauley Perrette, whose character Abby my dog is named after, and the cast of NCIS
35. Live in Italy and plan destination weddings for American/international couples desiring a personalized, carefree and romantic wedding in Italy.
36. Get the new iPad2!
